The M1 run to Sydney
Central Coast to Sydney is 85km via the M1, which merges onto the Pacific Highway and then into the Sydney motorway network at Wahroonga. Door-to-door to the Sydney CBD from Gosford is typically 85–100 minutes in normal traffic. From Wyong or Tuggerah in the north of the region, add about 15 minutes.
This is a same-day-all-day route — there is no strict morning cutoff. A 2pm pickup from Gosford can make CBD delivery by 4pm on a normal traffic day. The exception is Friday afternoon, when the M1 southbound from the Coast backs up significantly from about 3pm. For Friday CBD deliveries, a 1pm Coast pickup is safer.
Common drop zones in Sydney
- Sydney CBD (City, Darling Harbour, Pyrmont): 90 minutes from Gosford
- North Shore (Chatswood, St Leonards, North Sydney): 60–75 minutes from Gosford
- Northern Beaches (Dee Why, Manly, Frenchs Forest): 75–90 minutes
- Parramatta and Western Sydney: 90–110 minutes via the M2
On-demand bookings from the Central Coast are available and the pickup window is typically 45–60 minutes due to the lower driver density compared to inner Sydney. Standard same-day is the more commonly used tier for this route.
