Yes. On-demand uses a dedicated driver for your job only, so the price reflects the dispatch cost and direct route. Same-day jobs can be batched, which is why they cost less.
Can the driver wait at pickup?
Up to 5 minutes at no charge. After that, waiting time bills at $1 per minute. The driver leaves after 15 minutes if no contact.
